1. General Information

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR/DSGVO, TKG 2003).

2. Data Collection & Processing

Authentication: We use Google Firebase Auth. When you log in, we process your email address, display name, and unique user ID to maintain your session and attribute your uploads.
User Content: Photos uploaded to the platform are stored publicly. These photos may contain metadata (EXIF data) such as GPS coordinates, camera model, and capture time. We automatically strip identifying EXIF data where possible, but location data is essential for the service.
Server Logs: For technical security, we may log IP addresses and request times.

3. Third-Party Processors

We use the following service providers to operate our infrastructure. We have concluded Data Processing Agreements (or rely on standard contractual clauses) with them:

Google Firebase (USA): Authentication, Database, Hosting.
Oracle Cloud (EU/USA): Backend processing.
DigitalOcean (USA/EU): Object Storage (S3) for images.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and LocalStorage technologies solely to keep you logged in and to store your interface preferences (e.g., "Don't show this warning again"). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your data stored with us:

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).
